Hi Kevin; I just bought two new tires for the Savage. I bought Kenda 140/90-15 rear and 100/90-19 front for 98.63 total with Pa. tax. Not a bad price for bike tires. For cheap tires the Kenda gives a good ride, with the softer rubber the Savage seems to be a little less "savage" now than when it was new. The originals were IRC and lasted about 8,000 miles. Even if all I get is another 8,000, still it's a better ride. Some think 8,000 miles is extraordinary, others say about right, it depends a lot on how you drive. A lot of riders are getting about 5,000 miles. Frank M
